COACHING, GUIDING AND INSPIRING

TV & Film Safety

DK Climbing provide safety and rigging for TV and film companies from one day shoots to week long rigging and safety jobs. We specialise in all things winter, getting actors and crew to locations in the mountains and looking after everyone in a very hostile environment. Our in-depth knowledge of the UK mountains is what enables us to safely take you to inaccessible camera positions and amazing locations so you can capture the perfect shot.

Over the years we have worked for Warner Brothers, BBC, Triple Echo, Jottnar, GoreTex, Cold House, Hot Aches and many other independent film makers.

If you have a project in mind please get in touch and see what we can do for you. Our services include:
  • Location scouting
  • Safeguarding cast and crew
  • Training cast and crew to safely travel in the mountains during summer and winter
  • Rigging camera positions
  • Climbing doubles
  • Daily risk assessment
  • Snow and avalanche assessment
CONTACT US
"Donald is always the first guy I call when I need any safety or rigging work for my films. I've worked with Donald many times over the last decade and it has always been a very positive, fun and safe experience.
I first worked with Donald in February 2010 when I shot 'The Pinnacle' on Ben Nevis. We spent seven days living and working on the hill together. Every day we shot a different winter route, located all over the complex north east face of Ben Nevis. Donald was always able to get me safely and efficiently into a great position to shoot the climbing action. There is no way I could have made that film without his help.
Since 2010 I have worked with Donald all over Scotland and occasionally abroad. we once spent a couple of weeks shooting big wall climbing near Tromsø in the arctic circle.
Donald works incredibly hard on the shoots and always makes me feel safe. He is a huge asset to any production team and it's always a great pleasure to see his grinning face greeting you at the top of a climb! I would definitely recommend Donald for any safety, rigging or guiding work." Paul diffley - hot aches Productions
