I have spent my life in and around the mountains, being lucky enough to have grown up in Scotland with regular family trips to West Coast of Scotland, I revelled in the opportunities to get out and explore with my brothers, whatever the weather we were out after breakfast and usually back before it got dark. This ignited my passion for exploration and led me to my first climbing expedition on my own to the Himalayas as a young teenager. I soon realised that sharing my experiences with others was not only highly enjoyable but made the experiences more complete and I embarked on gaining my outdoor leading and instructing qualifications.
I have now been an instructor for over 25 years, climbing and exploring all over the world. When not with my own clients, I am employed with the National Centres, such as Plas-y-Brenin, training and assessing on the highest mountaineering qualifications in both summer and winter. |
